More about Duran Duran
Duran Duran is one of the most successful and influential bands in the history of pop music. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, the group from Birmingham has a hit catalog that few other bands can match, including “Rio”, “Hungry Like the Wolf”, “Girls on Film” and “Ordinary World”. Today, the global pop icons can announce the news of a 12-stop arena tour around Europe, which follows the release of the euphoric single “Free to Love” feat. Nile Rodgers. The tour will kick off in October 2026 and will kick off in Oslo on October 2nd, before continuing to Stockholm.
The new single is another collaboration between Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers, where they come together on an uplifting and hopeful song that is made for the dance floor. The song combines the band’s characteristic finesse with a catchy, modern touch, and has been described as “a shimmering piece of disco-fied synth-pop” by CLASH, “a perfect summer song” by The Sun and “a euphoric groove” by Classic Pop Magazine. This summer, a collection of “Free To Love” remixes will be released, something that began in May with two club versions created by big names in dance music such as Horse Meat Disco and DJ White Shadow.
Band members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor are known for their energetic live performances and their groundbreaking synth-pop sound. Since being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they have continued to cement their iconic status, with sold-out tours and critically acclaimed album releases, including their 2023 Halloween-themed sixteenth studio album Danse Macabre, which became their tenth album to reach the top 5 on the UK Albums Chart. The band continues to be unstoppable live, selling out venues in the UK and North America on their “Future Past Tour”.
In 2026, alongside new vinyl releases of The Wedding Album and Thank You, Duran Duran will finally hit the road again and look forward to a summer tour of Europe. Don’t miss Duran Duran on October 3rd at the Avicii Arena!
