WU-TANG CLAN AND NAS GOES ON THE JOINT TOUR “NY STATE OF MIND TOUR”
Today the hip hop-icons Wu-Tang Clan and Nas announced that they will go on the joint tour “NY State Of Mind Tour”, which will visit many continents this year. The global tour with 32 dates, produced by Live Nation, starts May 9th in Auckland, New Zealand at Spark Arena, with more stops in New Zealand, Australia, North America and Europe. On Friday June 2nd it's time for Wu-Tang Cland and Nas to take over Avicii Arena in Stockholm!
The tour is a follow up from the sold out tour “N.Y. State of Mind”, which visited over 25 cities, incl. an iconic show at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Wu-Tang Clan are considered by many to be the biggest hip hop-group of all time and have toured as a group since their debut album was released in 1993. The group was founded in New York in the beginning of 1990s and consists of the members RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna and the deceased Ol’ Dirty Bastard (ODB). As a group, Wu-Tang Clan have three platinum albums among their eight albums, and the groupds complete anthology (incl. solo albums) consists of more than 85 albums.
Nas is one of the biggest names in hip hop history and one of the most important artists of modern times. The debut album "Illmatic" from 1994 is considered an iconic work of art and is still considered by many to be the best rap album ever released. In 1996 the breakthrough with double platinum for "It Was Written". In 2020, Nas released "King’s Disease”, which won "Best Rap Album" at the Grammy's the following year. The sequel “King’s Disease II”, was also nominated in the category “Best Rap Album” at Grammy Awards.
