Chessparty to Avicii Arena in Stockholm 2026

A two-day chess festival that brings chess to the people and where absolutely everyone is welcome - from beginners to experienced players, grandmasters, supermasters and people who are just interested and curious about chess and want to watch and learn to play in a fun way. Children, young people, families and adults as well as participants from all over the world are more than welcome.

Henrik & Magnus Carlsen, Levy Rozman aka GOTHAMCHESS, Judit Polgár, Anna Cramling, Pia Cramling, Andrea Botez, IJustWantToBeCool, Nils Grandelius, Jesper Hall and many more will contribute during Chessparty 2026. The social aspect is important and the festival focuses on giving all visitors a fantastic experience of being activated, having fun, getting excited, engaged, inspired and entertained and maybe also feeling a sense of mastery by learning something new from some of the best in the chess world.

Usually, we receive the time schedule from the organizer a few days before the event. As soon as the times are confirmed, they will be published here!

Please keep in mind that the nature of live events means that times are often approximate. Neither the organizer nor us can usually provide an exact end time for the event or confirm in advance when the artist will take the stage.

Avicii Arena is located in Johanneshov in south of Stockholm. Within easy walking distance there are six metro stations including Gullmarsplan - Stockholm's second largest hub for public transport with trams and buses.

Food & drinks

At Avicii Arena, there are plenty of options to satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst at our restaurants, bars, and kiosks. Specific offerings and opening hours will be presented closer to the event.

A more sustainable arena experience
We are now using reusable cups throughout Avicii Arena. Please bring your cup from the stands and place it in one of the collection bins located around the arena – you can’t miss them!

Your tickets

To retrieve your app tickets (AXS Mobile ID), you need to download the Stockholm Live app. You can do this via the App Store or Google Play.

Practical information

It is not permitted to bring umbrellas, bottles, professional cameras, food, or drinks into the arena. No bags larger than 40x40x20 cm are allowed inside. All bags will be checked at the entrance.

Many visitors are expected and as the level of security is high, entry may take time. Please arrive in advance.
