The updated arena aims to attract even more global superstars and major events to Stockholm. This will strengthen the city’s role as the Nordic capital of events and create significant value for all Stockholm. For Sweden.
Opening in Phases
It doesn’t end with the opening in February. The arena will open in different phases throughout 2025. The new arena space can be experienced from the very first event, and new bars, restaurants, and premium concepts will be launched all the way through the fall.
Maximized Premium Experiences
The work on the new premium areas will continue behind the scenes until the fall when everything will be ready. At that time, entirely new premium concepts, with something for everyone, will be launched. Get ready, our premium experiences are soon reaching new heights
The modernization is being carried out at the initiative of the property owner SGA Fastigheter and the City of Stockholm, who are also funding the renovation. The actual implementation is handled by NCC. When Avicii Arena is ready to reopen, Stockholm Live will take over again and fill the arena with events, food, drinks, and premium experiences.
Avicii Arena is meant to be a meeting place, a platform, and a megaphone for one of the most important social issues of our time – mental health among young people.
The goal is for the parties involved in the initiative – Tim Bergling Foundation, Trygg-Hansa, and Bauhaus – to collectively and individually drive initiatives and activities to strengthen the mental health and future outlook of young people.
