Today, Markus Krunegård is not only a trendsetter in Swedish alternative pop, but also one of the country’s most beloved artists. This spring, he’s been on a major tour following the release of his tenth solo album Bastard—a record the artist himself likens to a delicate neon-green branch in spring: something he looks forward to sharing, though perhaps too fragile to dissect. Tour de Bastard has not only sold out in most cities but also received top ratings from several newspapers, including Göteborgs-Posten, which praised Krunegård’s triumphant tour finale at Filmstudion.
Now, it’s time for the Norrköping native to take the stage for his biggest concert yet. On October 10, Markus Krunegård will perform at Avicii Arena. The artist’s own call to action? “Let’s fill half of the Globe!”
