Marcus & Martinus return to Avicii Arena on May 9, 2026
2026 marks ten years since Marcus & Martinus' very first gig in Sweden – a journey that is now celebrated with the return to Avicii Arena and the show “The Room”. Fans will be treated to songs from the new album “The Room”, well-known favorites and on stage will be their regular musicians and a powerful dance crew.
– “The Room” is more than a concert – it is a room where no one is judged and where everyone is allowed to be exactly who they are. We are doing two shows in May, one in Sweden and one in Norway, which will be unique in their combination of music and stories, simply a ‘once-in-a-lifetime concert journey*. Twin brothers Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen are one of Scandinavia's biggest pop exports. Since their breakthrough in Melodi Grand Prix Junior with “To dråper vann” they have delivered record-breaking streamed hits – with “Elektrisk” still reigning as the most streamed Norwegian-language song ever with over 128 million streams.
Over the past year they have represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with “Unforgettable”, released a new album, toured Europe and continued to cement their position as audience favorites. They have also performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, won Masked Singer Sweden, won silver in Melodifestivalen 2023 with “Air”, made summer appearances on P1 and released the biography “Två röster, en historia”.
