Jireel is playing his biggest gig yet when he takes over Avicii Arena in Stockholm on May 16 next year
Jireel is not only currently recording albums, it is also clear that this spring he will be playing his biggest concert yet when he celebrates ten years as an artist at Avicii Arena in Stockholm on May 16. "Production-wise, it will be unlike anything I or anyone else has done," says Jireel.
Tickets for the concert will be released on October 27.
More about Jireel
Jireel is 25 years old now. Still young, yet a veteran who released his first single a decade ago. He has won both the Grammis and P3 Guld and has been streamed hundreds of millions of times for hits such as "Cataleya", "Alla mina", "Winner", "MANO", "KAN JAG FRÅGA DIG?" and "Armani", to name just a few. He is mainly associated with hip hop but also makes dance music, afrobeats and is constantly testing sounds from all possible directions.
On “YEMAYA II”, his eighth album, which will be released on October 24, it is as if Jireel stops in his tracks, reflects on and circles everything he has been through: his upbringing and the journey of life that has brought him here, the triumphs but also the losses, a society that is no longer recognizable. He is guested on the album by Tjuvjakt, ICEKIID, Reyn and Nuqi.
“Genre-wise, this album does not follow a specific genre, rather each individual song has its own identity and history.”
